Kenyans are tired of waiting for Sportpesa to resume but the wait will be over in less than one week. After 31st ,the government will renew the company’s license and from October 1st you’ll be notified that the paybill has been reinstated.
A source at Sportpesa told us that the government is taking its sweet time until the month of October is over but they are hopeful the license will finally be issued on 1st October 2019. Immediately it’s issued, all subscribers will be notified and the paybill will be reinstated immediately.
The source added that Sportpesa is looking for ways to deal with the 20% tax on winning, they plan to pay the tax on behalf of players so as to attract all players to their site.
Since July 20th more than 6 million Kenyans stopped gambling, but immediately Sportpesa resumes nearly the entire population will resume betting. Some of them claim some of the remaining sites are not reliable.
